This round was led by Insight Partners, a global software investor renowned for backing high-growth companies. Our long-time supporters Accel and Moonfire have also continued their backing, reinforcing the confidence in Filigran’s vision and potential.

This announcement arrives just months after our $16M Series A in early 2024, demonstrating the rapid progress we’ve made and the market’s belief in our mission. In just over two years since our founding, Filigran has grown from an idea to a leading force in proactive cyber threat anticipation, trusted by both private companies and government organizations worldwide.

This latest round of funding not only provides a solid foundation for our growth but also reflects the trust that investors have in our team and our vision. With the additional $35M, we are ready to embark on the next chapter of our journey: global expansion and accelerated product innovation.

Our goal is to bring our cutting-edge eXtended Threat Management (XTM) suite to an even wider audience, particularly focusing on expanding our footprint in the United States and the Pacific region and support ongoing product development with a focus on AI and data engineering use cases. Filigran’s XTM Suite, powered by our flagship open-source platforms OpenCTI and OpenBAS, has been a game-changer for organizations, allowing them to better anticipate cyber threats, streamline incident response, and stress-test critical infrastructure.

With this new funding, we will continue to enhance these capabilities and develop new tools that address emerging cybersecurity challenges, including more advanced threat-driven risk assessments and deception solutions.

When we first embarked on this adventure in 2022, our vision was simple yet bold: to create open-source tools that enable organizations to proactively manage cyber threats through comprehensive, end-to-end threat management. From day one, we’ve been committed to building solutions that are accessible, effective, and scalable, making a meaningful difference for security teams worldwide.

Since then, our journey has been marked by key milestones that have propelled us forward and defined the path to where we stand today:

Strategic Partnerships

We’ve formed invaluable collaborations with renowned industry players such as the Recorded Future, Intrinsec, Palo Alto, Google and CrowdStrike . These partnerships have not only broadened our reach but also strengthened our platforms, bringing even more value to the users who rely on Filigran to stay ahead of emerging threats.

Funding Success

Our growth has been driven by strategic investments at each stage. In June 2023, we raised $5 million in Series Seed funding, laying the groundwork for our early expansion. Just six months later, our $16 million Series A followed, reflecting strong investors confidence in our vision and reinforcing our momentum as we continued to scale rapidly.

International Expansion

As our global footprint expands, so does our team. We’re proud to have talented professionals based in the US, Australia, and the UK, allowing us to provide localized support with a truly global perspective.

Rebranding and New Identity

February 2024 marked an important milestone with the launch of our new identity and website. This rebranding reflects how much we’ve evolved as a company and positions us for continued growth in the years to come.

Product Enhancements and Innovations

We’ve also made significant strides in improving our product offerings.

• OpenCTI: Our platform continues to evolve, helping organizations structure and operationalize holistic threat intelligence. By providing a unified view of threat environments, OpenCTI allows security teams to be more proactive in their defense strategies.
• Launch of OpenBAS: We introduced OpenBAS, an adversary emulation and security validation platform. OpenBAS enables organizations to test their defenses in real time, identify security gaps, and improve the organization’s overall security posture.

Continued Global Expansion

With this new funding, we’re focusing on expanding our presence globally with the launch of our US operations and our expansion in Australia, Japan and Singapore. We’ll be growing our teams and bringing localized support to new markets, ensuring that we can meet the cybersecurity needs of organizations worldwide.

Product Innovation

We continue to develop our XTM suite with new solutions that provide even more comprehensive, threat-driven risk assessment, and security validation capabilities. As an open-source company, our products are shaped by the needs and insights of our users. This new round of funding will allow us to expand our engineering team, enabling us to respond more swiftly and effectively to requests, ensuring our solutions continue to evolve in line with user expectations.

XTM Hub Launch

We believe that sharing knowledge and resources is critical for the cybersecurity community. That’s why we’re launching the XTM Hub. This hub will serve as a central forum to access resources, share tradecraft, and optimize the use of Filigran’s products. In the near future, we’ll be opening it up to all users—creating a collaborative space where everyone in the Filigran ecosystem can connect and grow together.

AI and Data Engineering Integration

We are enhancing the AI capabilities already embedded in our platform to further improve performance and user experience. By leveraging data science and AI technologies, we aim to structure knowledge more efficiently, uncover hidden insights, and automate complex processes. These advancements will strengthen the XTM Hub but also help us move towards becoming a fully data-driven company, ensuring our products remain at the forefront of innovation.

Community Call

In addition to meetups, we’ll continue hosting regular Community Calls.
