Samuel Hassine is CEO and co-founder of Filigran, the French cybersecurity company behind OpenCTI, OpenAEV and OpenCRQ. He co-founded it in October 2022 with Julien Richard, now Filigran's CTO.
Under his leadership Filigran has grown fast: the company has raised several significant rounds (a €15M Series A in 2024, a $35M Series B at the end of 2024, then a $58M Series C in 2025, the largest round ever raised by a French cybersecurity company) while keeping the open source DNA of its products and a user community spread across more than 50 countries.
Samuel speaks regularly in the media and at conferences for an approach to cyber intelligence built on Continuous Threat Exposure Management (CTEM), and for the conviction that open source accelerates rather than hinders the adoption of robust cybersecurity by organisations.
