UK Government Round Table (GRT) for Cyber Threat Intelligence

Considering the geopolitical climate, the proliferation of AI, and cyber threats becoming more and more relevant, the need to come together as one has never been so important. Cyber teams are working in silos, and government departments and wider public sector organisations are looking to each other for guidance. The purpose of the GRT is for CTI leadership and professionals to foster peer-to-peer dialogue, build a trusted community, and uncover shared industry challenges in a collaborative, non-sales environment. Filigran was built with community at the front and centre of our business. That is why we are pleased to host this government round table and build upon that foundation for UK Public Sector.

Practical details

Who is it for?

Anyone working in a CTI role within a public sector organisation, whether you’re a practitioner on the ground or a senior leader shaping strategy, this round table is designed with both perspectives in mind.

How often will it happen?

This is our inaugural event, and we’re treating it as a starting point. If there’s strong interest from the community, we intend to make this a recurring gathering, held on a quarterly basis going forward.

What’s the agenda?

The purpose of the GRT is to foster dialogue. Equally we understand it is tough to just start a conversation. Therefore, we will open with a keynote from an industry peer that will set the underlying theme and hopefully kickstart the conversations.

Is there going to be any sales pitches?

This is a non-sales event; there will be no demos or sales pitches. Filigran will simply be hosting and facilitating the event. This is your event. If you want to see a demo, we would be happy to provide this, but it is not part of the agenda.

Who will be speaking?

The keynote will be delivered by a Senior Cyber Threat Intelligence Lead at the UK Ministry of Defence, bringing first-hand experience from one of the most demanding and complex threat environments in the public sector. Drawing on their journey of designing, implementing, and operationalising a robust Threat Intelligence Platform, they will share practical insights into the strategic objectives, technical considerations, and organisational challenges involved in delivering a capability that supports informed decision-making and enhances cyber resilience.

Attendees will gain an understanding of the obstacles encountered throughout the programme, including stakeholder engagement, data integration, process development, and the adoption of intelligence-led approaches across the organisation. The session will also explore how these challenges were addressed, the lessons learned along the way, and the key success factors that enabled the platform to become an effective operational capability. The keynote is intended to provide a candid and informative perspective that will help stimulate discussion and encourage the sharing of experiences, best practices, and common challenges across the wider government and public sector CTI community.
