Themed “National-Level Cyber Defense and the Intelligence Frontline”, this event presents the latest strategies and practical knowledge for protecting nations and critical infrastructure.

Experts from each field will share their latest insights - from the background of building the UK’s National Offensive Cyber Programme and its lessons for Japan’s Active Cyber Defense (ACD), to the use of OpenCTI as the intelligence backbone connecting the cyber and cognitive domains.

Co-hosted by Filigran and Constella Security Japan, the event offers a multi-angle discussion of what intelligence-led active cyber defense should look like.

Maya Toda - Country Manager Japan, Filigran

As Filigran’s Country Manager for Japan, Maya Toda leads the Japanese market expansion of the open-source eXtended Threat Management (XTM) platform built around OpenCTI and OpenAEV. She supports government agencies, defense, critical infrastructure operators and financial institutions in operationalizing threat intelligence, implementing Active Cyber Defense (ACD), and advancing public-private threat information sharing. Before joining Filigran, she was Country Manager at cloud security company Sysdig, owning go-to-market strategy from design to execution, and previously led sales teams as Sales Director at endpoint security company CrowdStrike. She speaks regularly at seminars and events for the Japanese security community.

Steve Mason - Co-founder and CEO, Nova Black Solutions

Steve Mason is a seasoned executive and cyber expert with over 25 years of experience spanning the full breadth of the cyber domain - from general cybersecurity to the specialized fields of cyber warfare and offensive cyber. A visionary business leader, he brings deep expertise in management, organizational transformation, talent development, business growth and corporate strategy. He is co-founder and CEO of Nova Black Solutions, a consultancy specializing in defense and national security, and founder and CEO of Nova Blue Technologies. His career also includes service with the Canadian and UK governments as well as executive vice president roles in the private sector.

Nobuo Miyamura - President and CEO, Constella Security Japan

President and CEO of Constella Security Japan. After earning an MBA from the University of Southern California, he built a long career in business development for networking and cybersecurity, including at Cisco Systems. Today he leads programs in cyber threat intelligence, threat hunting, dark web analysis, and cognitive warfare and disinformation countermeasures for government agencies and critical infrastructure companies, while working to connect advanced technologies from abroad with the needs of Japan’s national security sector.

Wataru Suyama - Senior Analyst, Constella Security Japan

Wataru Suyama is a Senior Analyst at Constella Security Japan specializing in cybersecurity and information operations in the cognitive domain. Focusing on threats targeting Japan, he advises government, defense, diplomatic and law-enforcement organizations, as well as major companies, on threats posed by East Asian geopolitical actors. A regular speaker on these topics, he recently presented on the role of AI in adversarial information spaces at the Riga StratCom Dialogue hosted by the NATO Strategic Communications Centre of Excellence. He also lectures on coordinated Chinese and Russian influence operations targeting Japanese audiences - including disinformation around Okinawan independence and the Nanjing incident, and the poisoning of large language models. Since 2023 he has researched how generative AI is transforming the cognitive domain, analyzing its use in the 2024 Taiwanese presidential election and recent Japanese national elections, and continues to publish through his ongoing “InfoOps Highlights” report and webinar series. He has also been training information operations analysts since 2021.

Jean-Philippe Salles - VP of Product, Filigran

Jean-Philippe Salles is VP of Product at Filigran. With more than ten years of experience in cyber threat intelligence (CTI) and information operations, he leads the development of Filigran’s eXtended Threat Management (XTM) platform. Before joining Filigran, he held senior cyber threat intelligence positions at ANSSI, the French national cybersecurity agency, where he led analysis teams working on advanced hybrid threats and counter-disinformation and played a central role in building the open-source cyber threat intelligence platform OpenCTI.
