Releasing the Filigran XTM Platform Roadmap Publicly
As an open-source-first company, transparency isn’t a nice-to-have, it’s in our DNA. It matters even more as we build a leading threat management platform alongside a fast-growing community.
That’s why we’re taking the next step and publishing our roadmap publicly. It’s a clear commitment to openness, and it creates more room for collaboration, feedback, and shared progress.
TL;DR
- New XTM Platform Roadmap: Now accessible across all products, offering transparent insights into our development process.
- Track Feature Progress: Follow use cases currently in development, planned, and under consideration.
- View Recent Deliveries: Easily check use cases delivered in the last three months.
- Accessible Everywhere: Available on both public and private Hub pages for comprehensive access.
Transparency, Always.
In the tech industry, roadmaps are often the most closely guarded aspect of a product, with only a handful of internal practitioners allowed to present them to specific customers and appropriate prospects.
It’s a bit like a red team exercise plan – you don’t publish it before the operation starts.
And the reasons to keep roadmaps private are pretty obvious. Companies don’t want to overpromise to their customer base, worry about competition counter-positioning, or take advantage of “big reveal” surprise launches for marketing impact.
It’s a fair trade: giving up transparency for a competitive edge.
But when developing an industry-leading open-source platform, you have to flip the script. Your competitive edge comes from being transparent.
And this is why, aligned with our values, we are releasing the Filigran XTM Platform Roadmap publicly.
Sharing our Vision Through Transparency, Collaboration, and Shared Progress.
Filigran is a vision-led company, working to develop the next-generation, open-source threat management platform.
But Filigran has always been driven by its community, and we want to keep it that way.
By sharing our priorities and ongoing work, we not only provide clarity on our direction and decision-making process, but also enable our 6500+ member community to continue to collaborate and directly impact our roadmap based on what they need to stay on top of this fast-changing industry.
And this is why this feature is more than just a roadmap. It is another step towards deeper collaboration with our ecosystem.
This is our fair trade: offering more transparency for a more engaged community.

XTM Hub: Navigating to the XTM Platform Roadmap
The XTM Platform roadmap is hosted on the XTM Hub which unifies the Filigran experience with access to the community, pre-configured content, documentation, free trials… and more.
From the roadmap, you can access a filtered view of upcoming use cases across all of Filigran’s available products, categorized in three main categories:
- Now: use cases currently in development
- Next: use cases planned for future releases
- Under consideration: use cases under strong consideration
It is possible to display use cases that have been released in the past three months to help track recent progress without digging through release notes.
The roadmap is accessible from both public and private sections of the Hub, with data remaining consistent across both views, ensuring full transparency regardless of access level.
Why This Matters, Practically
The XTM Platform, including both OpenCTI and OpenAEV, follows a continuous delivery development model, with more frequent releases to iterate and innovate fast, supported by continuous community feedback.
From a practical perspective, the XTM Platform roadmap provides a centralized view of platform evolution, ensuring that everyone understands not only what exists today, but also what is being planned and why.
To sum it all up, the introduction of public roadmaps not only marks an important milestone in our commitment to openness and transparency, but also provides a clear window into our development process while laying the groundwork for stronger community involvement.
